State Senator Jack Schroeder of Davenport, candidate for the Republican nomination for governor, took issue Wednesday day with persons who say that taxes can not be reduced. Schroeder said at a noon raily that substantial tions can be made.

He has proposed a tax plan includthe elimination of property taxes on television sets, home freezers and musical instruments and the reduction of the moneys and credits tax. CHICAGO, ILL, (P)-A three-man arbitration panel ruled Wednesday 94 striking employees of the Wilson Co. packing plant at Albert Lea, be restored to their jobs Apr. 4. The panel also ruled that 139 employees be restored to their jobs at the company's Cedar Rapids, plant. All employees are to be returned to work in order of seniority.

Announcement of the panel's ruling was made by U. S. District Judge Joseph Sam Perry. Others on the panel are Rabbi Jacob Weinstein, nominated by the United Packinghouse Workers of America, and Chicago Atty. Edward M.

Bullard, nominated by Wilson. The panel was named after the nationwide strike: against Wilson ended Feb. 19. The panel was named to arbitrate issues arising from replacement of strikers by other employees. Most of striking employees ruled eligible to return to work at Albert Lea and Cedar Rapids had been charged with mass picketing during the strike.

Judge Perry said others, against whom more serious charges were placed, would he heard at separate hearings or by affidavit. Wilson recalled to work 300 of the 5,500 who struck, having hired more than 3,000 replacements during the walkout. Mrs. Wright Funeral Set Services for Mrs. Walter Wright, 70, of 2012 E.

Florence Lainson, of Des Moines; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Helen Johnson of Burlington and Mrs. Ruth Smith of Ackworth; and two sons, Eldon and Cleo Lewis of Des Moines. Also surviving are a stepson, William Wright of Whittier, two brothers, Ray and Paul Blanchard of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Faye Parry of Des Moines; 14 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.

Smith, 60, of 2212 Thirty-eighth was overcome by fumes from a gasoline-powered air hammer and by cement dust Wednesday morning while working in Boston's Diesel Service garage at 8 Second ave. Smith was taken to Mercy hospital, where attendants said his condition was not serious. Police said Smith was using the hammer to break up a concrete floor preparatory to installing a gasoline pump.
