RayJ.Garringer,Chairman approvedatnextBoard Mass of Christian Burial for Mary A. McDonald, 94, Iowa City, was celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at St. Catholic Church, Iowa City.

She died peacefully at her home Monday, Oct. 17, surrounded by her family. The Rev. Edward Fitzpatrick presided and the Very Rev. Rudolph Juarez was concelebrant.

Burial was in St. Cemetery, Iowa City. Memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice or to the University of Iowa Foundation for Macular Degeneration Research. Online condolences may be made at lensingfu- neral.com. Mary Agnes McDonald was born May 24, 1922, on the Malloy Century Farm in Holbrook, the daughter of John and Mary Jones Malloy.

She attended country schools and graduated from Parnell High School. She married Al McDonald on April 6, 1943, at St. Church in Holbrook. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. McDonald is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Al; their 11 children, Tom (Mary), Jim (Ada), Terry (Terry), Marie Pete) Beelner, Don (Candy), Greg (Audrey), Randy Mary), Mary McDonald, Marty (Lisa), Milissa (Ted) Wright and Molly (Kevin) Bell; daughter-in-law, Linda McDonald; 40 grandchildren and 58 great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sons, John and Tim; twin infant sons, one great-grandson, Silas Kalb, and eight siblings. Mary McDonald, 94 Memorial service for Anita M. Felling, 77, Marengo, was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at Trinity United Church of Christ, rural Marengo.

She died Oct. 19, 2016, following a long illness. For a memorial, donations may be made to a favorite animal shelter in her name. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, was in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.klosterfuneralho- me.com.

Anita Maxine Felling was born March 13, 1939, in Union, the daughter of P. Lawrence Keener and Juanita Maxine Wheeler Keener. She graduated from Monticello High School with the Class of 1957. She received her nursing degree from Coe College and St. in Cedar Rapids.

She married Dwight Felling Aug. 21, 1960, and together they had four children. She worked at the Marengo Memorial Hospital for the majority of her nursing career and was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, rural Marengo. She was a caring person and she especially loved taking care of her family. In her free time Anita liked traveling, visiting with people, and bonding with her pets.

Felling is survived by her husband, Dwight, of 56 years; her children, Denise (Scott) Fowler, Marengo; Ruth (James) Taylor, Boise, Idaho; Esther (Martin) Jenke, Hamburg, Germany, and Roger (Lynettia) Felling, Marengo; a sister, Janice (Carl) Rieniets, Monticello; and a brother, Ronald Keener, Austin, Texas, and nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Patricia Stoneking and Mary Keener, and grandchildren, Christina Felling and Colby Taylor. Anita Felling, 77 Nancy K. Colson, 80, Brookings, S.D., died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at the Brookings Hospital.

Private family services will be held. Rude's Funeral Home, Brookings, is in charge of arrangements. Nancy Kay Colson was born on Aug. 1, 1936, in Marengo, the daughter of Ervin and Helen (Underhill) Langlas. She attended country school near Marengo and was a graduate of Marengo High School.

She attended the University of Northern Iowa and later the University of Iowa. She married John Colson Aug. 27, 1955, in Maren- go. She stayed at home to raise their four children. They lived in various places, including Lake Park, Garner and Iowa City; Alamosa, and Bettendorf before settling in Brookings.

She spent many hours volunteering at her children's schools for various activities while supporting her husband's career in music at South Dakota State University. She enjoyed crafts, specifically creating scrapbooks and photo albums for her family. She spent many hours exercising and walking. Over the years she attended many music performances at South Dakota State University. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and was able to keep up with them on social media when she couldn't be with them.

She was a very generous grandmother, both with her time and unique ability to purchase presents that were perfect for the recipient. She is survived by her husband, John Colson, Brookings; four children, David (Liz) Colson, Kalamazoo, Peter (Nancy Kristofferson) Colson, Sitka, Alaska; Scott (Sarah Merrill) Colson, Alexandria, and Elizabeth (Eric) Utterson, St. Louis, eight grandchildren, Grace and Max, Mika, Maggie and Louis, Henry, Rose and George, and one sister, Sue (Michael) Grace, Colorado Springs, Colo. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ervin Langlas, Jr. Nancy Colson, 80.
