Catho- ic Church, Brooklyn. She died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at the Brooklyn Community Estate. The Rev. Brian Shepley and the Rev.

Evelyn Larraine Wauters was born July 7, 1922, in Hartwick, the daughter of Henry and Mary La- Kose DeRycke. She received her education in the Hartwick Community Schools and graduated in 1940. She married Albert Wauters June 5, 1943, in Camp Claiborne. She was amember of the Hartwick Fire Women and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cross-stitching, crocheting, knitting, sewing, bak- i ng, tending her flower ardens and playing ards.

auters is survived by one son, Gary (Carol) Wauters, State Center; two daughters, Connie (Harold) McLaughlin, Ames; Leejean Wauters (Craig Bernhardt), Garland, Texas; two sisters, Harriet Bruggeman, Victor; Joan DeRycke, Lamb- LaGrange Park, ive grandchildren, Cary Andra) Wauters, La Crescenta, Michael Kim) McLaughlin, Allen, Texas; Kelly (Kevin) Holtz, Port Orange, Tim (Lisa) McLaughlin, Chicago, and Patrick (Jennifer) McLaughlin, Houston, Texas; 10 great- grandchildren, Matthew, Samantha, Andrew, Katherine, Aaron, Phoebe, Jack, Emma, Courtney and Megan. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Evelyn Wauters, 93 Funeral service for John Wayne DeWall, 62, Cedar Rapids, formerly of Mason City, was held at 2 :30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Major Erickson Fun eral Home, Mason City.

He died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2 016, at St. Hospital, Cedar Rapids. The Rev. Kathy Graves, Trinity Lutheran Church, officiated at the service.

A me- orial service will be held in the future. He was born Oct. 20, 1941, in Akron, Ohio. He retired from Goodyear ire and Rubber and lived i Marengo for the last 20- lus years. He was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church, Maren- and served on the Mar engo Library Board as ell as other various oards in the community.

Mayer is survived by his daughter, Jackie Guadagnolo; son-in-law, Mike; grandchildren, Zane and race; sister, Pat; brother, ohn; close friends, Tony a nd Joanna and family, Glenn Gobin, Pastor Anni Mingin and his wonderful church family. Larry Mayer, 74 Celebration of life service for Helen M. Nidey, 96, Will iams- urg, will held at 10 a.m. Satur- ay, March 5, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg.

She died Feb. 27, 2016, at Highland Ridge Care Center. Burial will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be rom 4 to 6 p.m.

Nidey was orn in Benton County i 1919, the daughter of ritz and Armina Schmutz) Maeder. She was one of four children. She attended public school. In 1941, she married Ruskin Nidey in Macon, Mo. The couple established their home in rural Williamsburg and later moved to own.

They had eight hildren: Dennis, Sand ra, Ronald, Linda, Carolyn, Connie, Susan a nd Sherri. She was a homemaker. After her death in 1967, she added part-time work in motel housekeeping and lunchroom service with Williamsburg Community Schools. She remained in her illiamsburg home ntil age 79, when she oved to an apartment i Williamsburg. She loved to bake and enjoyed sharing her great homemade dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls and sugar cookies with others.

She had a green thumb with flowers and and plants. They thrived under er care and attention. he moved to an apart- ent at Highland Ridge Assisted Living a age 89, followed by a move to Highland Ridge Care Center at age 93. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg.

She displayed strength, courage, determination and faith hroughout her life. he has provided many emories and will be reatly missed by her children, 11grandchil- dren, 15 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Martha Maeder and Marg aret Baack; brother, A lbert Maeder; daugh- er, Sherri Nidey; grandsons, Marty Dav ies and Marcus Nidey, and son-in-law, Lee Kemp. The average number of all layers on hand during January 2016 was 40.4 million, up 6 percent from last month, but down 32 percent from last year.

Eggs per 100 layers for January were 2,140, unchanged from last month, but down 11 percent from last year. CROP VALUES The production of field and mis- ellaneous crops was valued at $14 billion in 2015, according to the USDA, National Agri- cultural Statistics Service Values This was a 2percent decrease from 2014. The value of corn production totaled $8.77 billion, down slightly from the previous year, even hough production was up 6 percent. orn price averaged $3.50 per bushel, a de- rease of the last marketing year. Down 3 percent from 2014, the value of soybean production was $4.79 billion, even though production was up 11percent.

Average prices dropped $1.31 from the previous year to $8.65 per bushel. Value of production ecreased in 2015 from 2014 for oats, inter wheat, alfalfa hay, and all forage. alue of production increased from the previous year for other hay.
