MORRISON Grinnell JON PIERCE Cambridge Jon LeRoy Pierce, age 57, of Cambridge, died Friday, February 18, 2011. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Cambridge Community Center (next to the fire station) in Cambridge, on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at 10 a.m.

Jon was born March 24, 1953, in Boone, the son of Harold and Dorothy (Olson) Pierce. He was employed as a construction worker and a mechanic. Jon enjoyed collecting, riding motorcycles, and gaming. Those left to honor his memory include his brothers and sisters, Harold Jr. "Hal" (Cyndi) Pierce, Leonard (Ann) Pierce, Jean (Dale) Williams, Cheryl (Harley) Schultz, and Don (Diane) Pierce; ten nieces and nephews; and eleven great-nieces and great-nephews.

JOHN R. SHATTUCK Des Moines John Shattuck, 90, joined his wife in heaven Monday, March 21, 2011.

John, a lifelong Des Moines resident, was born March 20, 1921, in Chicago to John and Letitia Shattuck. John served his country in the United States Army as a First Lieutenant in the Corps of Engineers as well as in the National Guard as a Staff Sergeant, where he received numerous decorations and citations including the bronze star. John was a principled businessman and started two small businesses: Shattuck Realty and Shattuck Sod Farms. He was a faithful member of the Evangelical Covenant Church and member of the Kiwanis. He will be remembered for being a devoted husband, for his kindness and generosity to others, for his witty sense of humor, and for being a true gentleman.

John is survived by his children, Jim (Tammy) Shattuck, Tom (Jeanne) Shattuck, Ray (Peggy) Shattuck, Karen (Gregg) Hatten, Nancy (Dave) Berg, and Connie (Craig) Anderson; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Jeanne L. Shattuck; one brother and three sisters. A visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with a private family service following.

ROBERT ROSENE Boone STEVO RADAN0VIC Altoona Radanovic, 96, was born October 10, 1914 in Glina, hi Brubanj, A'U Croatia, the son of Rade Radanovic and Ruzica Andjelic. Hit She was born March 17, 1924, to Cloyd and Marjorie Thompson in Adel, Iowa. Audrey was a loving, devoted mother and farm wife. In addition she enjoyed needlepoint, jigsaw puzzles, traveling, and going to Prairie Meadows. She will be missed dearly by those that loved her. Tuttle; niece Terrie Wilson; husband, Robert Lose; sister, Judy Thompson; and nephews, Craig and Jack Thompson. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hank Tuttle; parents; three brothers, and two sisters. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., on Wednesday March 23, 2011, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Mary was born February 19, 1912 in Manchester, Iowa to John and Lillian (Kelley) Pinnick. She worked at Mercy Hospital for many years. She enjoyed numerous years of volunteer time, working with the disabled. Mary also enjoyed the time spent with her mother, daughters, and friends in the making of many hand sewn quilts. She was a long time member of St.

Ambrose Cathedral. Mary is survived by her two sisters, Peggy Fogel of California and Ann Mykle-bust of Minnesota; daughters, Roberta Vantress of Florida, Barbara Weston, Patricia Trotter, Christina Holley; and son, Thomas Holley all of Des Moines. Preceding her in death tas her husband, Winston G. Holley; daughters, Betty Anne, Shirley, and Beverly; two sons, Robert and Ronald. Mary enjoyed her 21 grandchildren, 34 greatgrandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was the mother of ten, however, her entire family was blessed to share her 99 years. Being the giving person she was, she requested her body to be given to science. Memorial service will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church on Friday, March 25 at 1 1 a.m. with a luncheon following the mass.

ILES Grandview Park Chapel 3211 Hubbell Avenue GENEVA MARGARET JENKS HUSTON les Geneva Margaret Jenks Huston was born August 18, 1918 to Daisy Jack-Jenks and Ross Charles Jenks. She died March 21, 2011 at Fountain West Health Care Center in West Des Moines. Geneva graduated from Van Home High School in 1936, attended Drake University and married Robert B. Huston on June 8, 1940. Geneva is survived by her children, Ross Huston of Colorado and Roberta Huston Breeding of Pleasant Hill; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; daughter-in-law, Candace Huston; and her brother, Loren T. Jenks. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Altoona Christian Church, 2890 1st Ave. S.

BARBARA ANN DANILS0N Windsor Heights Barbara Ann Danilson, 80, died on March 21 9X1 11 i nouse on uoui Street. Barbara was born on February 1, 1931 in Fort Dodge to Harold and Eathol Reed. She is survived by her children, Philip Danilson, RaeLynn Breese, Kimberly (Bill) Petty, Sean Danilson, and Kelly (Ross) Sherrick; six grandchildren, Kerry (Greg) Warren, Jeremy (Stacy) Venn, Steve Petty, Miranda (William) Tolson, Melissa Petty, and Jacob Sherrick; eight great-grandchildren, Daniel Halstead, Maryena Petty-Lee, Riley Venn, Kevin French, Payton Venn, Caitlin Tolson, Quentin Tolson, and Kamryn Tolson and host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Philip E. Danilson.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, March 24 at Merle Hay Funeral Home in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home. MERLE HAY Des Moir MM Eva I (McCrillis) Grootveld, 97, passed away Monday afternoon in the Long Term Care Unit at the Pella Regional Health Center. Eva, wife of the late William Grootveld, is survived by her son-in-law, Glen (Carole) Van Roekel of Pella; four grandchildren, Wendy Sims of Pella, Becky Maak of Altoona, LA, Vicki Swanson of Harvey, IA, Gregg Van Roekel of Altoona, IA; eleven greatgrandchildren; and her sister, Ethel Russell of Os-kaloosa, IA. KEVIN L. KL0CK Saylorville r' v4 Kevin L. 1 Klock, 66, 'Si1 died unexnect- edlv Monday, Marcnzi.zun at his home in Saylorville. He was born May 8, 1944 in Freeport, Illinois to Leonard and Ruth (Watts) Mock. Kevin owned and operated Rite-Way Auto Body for over 40 years but his true love since 2001 was for saving and restoring antique tractors, especially red ones.

He was a die hard Republican who talked politics with anyone who would lend an ear. Roy Rogers was his childhood hero and continued to be through adulthood. Kevin is survived by his wife of 45 years, Anola; son, Michael (Lisa) Klock; grandsons, James and Brandon Klock; mother, Ruth Spurlin; sister, Pam Smaha; and a host of other family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Klock. Des Moines William "Bill" Pedersen 80, passed from this life into Heaven Saturday, March 19, 2011, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Des Moines. He was born April 20, 1930, to William Sr. and Lucille (Wallace) Pedersen in Grinnell, Iowa.

Bill lived in Villisca and later attended North High School in Des Moines. He worked in the camera department at Younkers for over 20 years and retired from Ivy Photo. He enjoyed fishing, photography, gardening, and aviation. Bill is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ann; children, Lea Anne (Ron) Falke, Sonja (Jon) Christ-offerson, Jon Pedersen and Michael Pedersen; 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, David Dawson and Paul Dawson; brother, Steve Pedersen; sister, Gloria (Jerry) Lang; as well as a host of other family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, William I.

Online condolences may be made to Robert (Bob) Eldon Rosene, age 71, went to his eternal home with Jesus March 17, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. Bob the son of Eldon and Feme Rosene was bom July 28, 1939, at Boone County Hospital. He grew up on a farm west of Luther, IA, graduating from Luther High School in 1957. Bob went to Boone Junior College, graduating from Iowa State University in Ames, IA, with a degree in Industrial Education in 1963.

He also served six years in the Iowa Air National Guard. He married his true love Nadine "Dino" Johnson, December 13, 1964. Bob was employed with International Harvester Company for ten years, before moving in 1973 to Perry, IA, when they purchased the Perry International Company store. Bob was a prominent business man for 31 years retiring from Case IH in 2005. He had a passion for his profession and always said that he was in the "people" business and farm equipment was the vehicle the Lord used in his life to touch the lives of others.

He served on the board and was president of Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Association, and North America Equipment Dealers Association (NAEDA). Bob served the Perry and Boone communities on the Perry Community School Board, Crime Stoppers, Rotary, Boone Area Pilots Association, Iowa Motor Memories (Classic Car Association), and Boone Airport Commission. Bob was a member of Mt Olivet Lutheran Church for 20 years serving in numerous leadership roles, and Bethel Christian Missionary Alliance Church the past 18 years serving as a deacon and elder and helping with the AWANA program. Bob had a passion for living and sharing his Christian walk in the Lord with others. He loved to worship and praise the Lord with his gift of singing.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Dino of 46 and one half years; his son, Scott (Dawn) Rosene of Portage, IN; and his daughter, Kristine Rosene of Portland, OR and her significant other, Sam Bryan of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Austin and Alyssa; his sister, Marilyn; and brother-in-law, Darrell Erickson; his in-laws, Ann Johnson and Shirley Stakey, and Louis and Rose Stortenbecker; many nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Dale Erickson; in-laws, Leonard and Clara Johnson; brothers-in-law, Roger Johnson and Marvin Stakey. The family will gather Saturday, March 26, 2011, for the committal service prior to the Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church located at 703 Arden in Boone, IA.

Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2011, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bethel Church 1726 L. located 14 mile South of the intersection of County Roads R-18 and E57.
