Dale of Annapolis, a brother, Carl of West Branch; four sisters, Cora Cook of Ottawa, May Camp of Garnett, Birdie Blessing of Bethany, and Daisy Robinson of Hopkins, and nine grandchildren. in Des Moines, died of meningitis Wednesday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Dunn's Funeral Home with a private burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Born in Davenport, Mr. Faris lived in Des Moines most of his life and in rural Cumming the past eight months.

He was a retired photo engraver for Central Engraving Co. and was a member of Graphic Arts International Union M584. Survivors include a daughter, Lorene Gibson of West Des Moines; a son, Gene C. of Benecia, 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. DONALD ANDERSON Tht Itwa Hwt Sarvtc AMES, IA. Services for Donald 0. Anderson, 75, of Ames will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Ames. Burial will be at 11 a.m.

Saturday at Oralabor Cemetery south of Ankeny. Mr. Anderson died Tuesday night at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames of a stroke. He was a graduate of Drake University and Simpson College with a degree in music. On June 1, 1933, he was married to Guinevere Wagner in Des Moines.

He served in the Navy during World War II, attaining the rank of lieutenant commander. Before coming to Ames he taught school in Casey, Garner and Kanawha, and was an auto dealer for several years in Vinton. He served in ministerial assignments for the United Methodist Church for 13 years, including pastorship of the First Methodist Church in Madrid and as an associate pastor of the Collegiate United Methodist Church in Ames. He was chaplain for the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine Temple in Des Moines for 10 years. Prior to his retirement in 1977, Anderson was board president and executive director of Promise, a non-profit organization responsible for establishing medical clinics in Hong Kong and Yucatan, Mexico.

He directed the division of information and education for the State Health Department from 1969 to 1975. Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames, with the family receiving friends between 7 and 8:30 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Guinevere, and a sister, Katherine Melody of Denver, Colo. A memorial fund has been established for the Shrine Crippled Children's Hospital.
