Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Sumner. Graveside American Legion services will be held in Union Mound Faulkner was born in Marathon and lived in in Sumner 35 years. He also lived for four years in Larrabee. He was a retired teacher and a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr.

Faulkner served on the Iowa State Education Professional Rights and Responsibilities Committee and served two terms on the Iowa Professional Teacher's Practices Commissions, acting as chairmain from 1976 to 1977. He was an Iowa representative to the Nation Professional Teaching Practices Commission in 1976, a judge at the University of Northern Iowa industrial arts exposition, and a counselor to the Boy's State Conference in Johnston. He is survived by his wife, Violetta; two sons, David of Onalaska, and Donald of Waterloo; three daughters, Diana Faulkner of Cedar Rapids, Debbi Sieck of Maynard and Denise Faulkner of Lennexa, a brother, Robert of Arnolds Park; three sisters, Viola Blake of Laurens, Millie Parr of Warsaw, and LaVonne Faulkner of Spirit Lake. DOROTHY M. GULLING died of pneumonia Friday at Des Moines General Hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Runnells Christian Church, with burial in Vandalia Cemetery. Mrs.

Gulling lived all of her life in Runnells, where she was a homemaker. Surviving is her DOROTHY husband, Roy; a GULLING son, Donnie of Des Moines; two daughters, Barb Calhoun of Runnells and Karen Warren of Norwalk; four brothers, John Wallace of Runnells, Frances "Pete" Wallace of Newton, Arthur Wallace of Colfax and Russell Wallace of Newton; a sister, Violet Bankes of Colfax; eight grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren. He was a member of the Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ, Toastmasters International and Lions Club.
