Peach Pie In Individual Dishes Individual peach pies call for a cereal topping. Children especially enjoy them served like this. Wilma Phillips Stewart. A pie for each and every one individual deep dish pies. We have used individual glass baking dishes and served the in their own wicker baskets.

Deep dish pies have cereal crusts and are fun to eat. This can be used for fresh peaches now and later on with canned or frozen peaches. Peach Deep Dish Pie. servings.) 2 cups corn flakele 3 and one-half cups sliced fresh peaches one-half cup brown sugar one-half teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons flour one-fourth cup dark corn syrup 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine 1 and one-halt teaspoons lemon juice one-half cup broken pecans 1 tablespoon butter Method: 1. Crush corn flakes to make 1 cup of coarse crumbs.

2. Combine sugar, salt, flour, corn syrup, peach juice, lemon juice and butter or margarine. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes. 3. Place peaches in 6 small baking dishes.

Sprinkle with pecans. Pour brown sugar mixture over peaches. 4. Combine cornflakes with 1 tablespoon of melted butter. Sprinkle over, in peaches.

moderate oven, 350 degrees F. for 20 to 25 minutes. (Time 5. will depend upon how well cooked you wish the peaches.) Notes for the Cook. Dark corn syrup is flavored with vanilla.

You will like the flavor of brown sugar and peaches, baked together. For small children, use custard cups. This pie is good either hot or cold. Let the peach slices peak out the center as shown in the picture. Nuts may be omitted for small children.

Lacking the nuts you can "dot" the peaches with peanut butter. Instead of cream use hot peach juice flavored with cinnamon and sweetened to taste. To prevent peaches from turning dark, slice them right into the baking dishes, Fill them about three-fourths full. Doctor's Notebook Waiting for Doctor Is Unexciting: By Glen R. Shepherd, M.

D. Waiting to see the doctor in his office is no fun. Prolonged waiting is sometimes inexcusable to patients. It doesn't seem to make much difference whether doctor operates on the appointment system or just sees people in the order of their arrival. You stare at the others waiting self-consciously, each wondering what is wrong with the other.

That woman across the room looks in good health. Probably, you think, she's one of those neurotics which, not (although you may be and there Is no reason to be ashamed of it). Then there are magazines. You may wonder if there are any disease germs in them from all those sick people the doctor sees. (There are not.) You gingerly pick up the newest-looking one and discover you have already read it while you were in the beauty shop.

That last visit to the beauty shop certainly was a bust--not a soul had an interesting item about anybody you knew. What time is it? Oh, just five minutes have gone by. Somebody else comes into the room and sits down. And before he has his crease straightened, he is called into the inner sanctum. Now wouldn't that beat all? (It doesn't occur to you that he's probably getting a pre-arranged test or preparation by the technician or nurse.) A doctor's waiting room is not the most enviable place to spend your time.

Yet, your doctor has probably strained his ingenuity in an effort to use a system which will shorten your wait or eliminate it altogether. If he uses the appointment system, something is sure to throw him off. It may be an emergency house call, a delay on the morning hospital rounds or house calls, or a very long-winded patient early in the afternoon. If he abandons the appointment system and sees people in the order of their arrival, that still means an inevitable wait on most afternoons. Some doctors wish it were possible for no one to wait.

But the very nature of professional work makes the time required for each patient unpredictable. There doesn't seem to be any satisfactory solution. Dr. Shepherd lists some precautions for hay fever sufferers in his Sunday column. The doctor's column appears each Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday on the women's page of The Des Moines Register.

MEXSANA A MEDICATED POWDER IDes Moines Register Page 10 Aug. 21, Complexion May Suffer From Sun (Beauty and You.) (By Marian Matthews) Today's article puts the finishing touches on the complexion that may be suffering from a season in the sun. A lovely complexion is worth the time and care you give it and it cannot be achieved overnight. Normally, after cleaning your face and then using a creamy masque, the third step is a thorough going-over with an astringent or face lotion. On this third day of briefing for a facial comeback it is suggested that you use a dryskin freshener for skin that is dried out from summer sun.

After cleansing, and if you follow this with the creamy masque, dampen a fresh piece of cotton with the dry-skin freshener or lotion and smooth over throat and face. Use the same upward and outward motions as when applying cream. The fourth and final step in your skin care is one that guards its suppleness. It is as necessary in your plan of rehabilitating, is that in summer preserving a complexion soft and, as smooth skin all fall and winter. The super-rich lubrication cream is your answer.

Special night creams that blend extra emollient qualities in them to discourage dryness and its consequences such as flakiness and fine lines should be smoothed into the skin at night before retiring. Begin at the base of the throat with firm, even strokes and as usual with gentle motions work in upward and outward. Leave your rich cream on for at least 20 minutes or if your skin is really baked and parched from sunshine, leave on overnight. Pay particular attention to areas where fine lines form-at the outside corners of the eyes and about the mouth. A few weeks of thorough daily care as outlined in the last three articles should give you a prettier outlook in the new season ahead, Miss Pinneo Is Honored At Tea Mrs.
