Budlong of Chicago, is of wide interest here, where the Budlong family formerly resided. The marriage will take place Tuesday evening at the Ekberg home and will be a quiet family affair. The couple will be at home in Minneapolis. One of the weddings of the week will be that of Miss Louise Lawrenson, daughter of Mr. William Ascroft Lawrenson, and Mr.

Alexander McPherrin Linn, son of Mrs. A. M. Linn. Miss Lawrenson was a Kappa at Drake university and Mr.

Linn received his degree in architecture at the University of Illinois. She, too, went west and located with her parents, Mr.

and Mrs. C. D. Henry, in Monterey and a campus romance at Pale Alto led the brilliant young engineer and Lou Henry together. THENEVER we think a lull in pressing activities of life is upon we are awakened! A call comes from here and another from there, and we busy ones are ready to lend hand.

Just now the call has come from Broadlawns Tubercular hospital. The fourth occupational therapy fair is to be held soon, and plans are rapidly progressing to make it one of citywide interest. Again the fair will be sponsored by the Des Moines Federation of Women's Clubs, which will he assisted by the Junior Service league. There will be an afternoon card party in charge of Mrs. Frank Horton.

She has obtained the services of Mrs. John A. Eddy to direct the card game. Prizes will be given for high score. Among the prizes will be number of articles from the occapational therapy department, which is directed by Miss Margaret Biggerstaff.

Well Known Young Folks Plan Wedding 8g I Iowans were Des Moines Garden Club Members Will Be Indianola Guests Indianola Garden club members will open their rose gardens on Tuesday to the members of the Des Moines Garden club for inspection.

Beginning at 8 a. m. and continuing throughout the entire day the Indianola gardens will be opened with the garden of Mrs. H. C.

Wyman as the starting point. The Wyman home, 1111 North Buxton street, will be tound two blocks west of the Jefferson highway. With Mrs. Wyman will be Indianola club members to greet the visitors and direct them to the other rose gardens in the neighboring town. Women's Golf Match Opens Tomorrow Activities at the Golf and Coun-15 try club this week will have to do largely with the women's city golf tournament, which is to be held on the club course, beginning tomorrow.

Mrs. John Nasboro is chairman, and her assistants will be Mesdames A. B. Crandall, Charles Shaver, R. G.

Reilly and Lloyd Humphrey. One women have entered the tournament, and the sixteen low comprise the championship flight, who then must play the course in 105 or less to qualify. At 12:30 p. m. Friday a luncheon will be served and prizes will be awarded.

Tuesday evening. the Golf and Country club members will have their regular bridge party. Satthe dance committee arrival here on Friday of Miss Mary Scott Rawson, recent graduate of Vassar college, and Mr. Richard Russell Rolline, an Amherst student, and the coming of their bridal attendants this week will bring a short season of elaborate entertaining before the marriage on June 26. Miss Rawson, who is the only daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Harry Duston Rawson, has chosen St. Paul's Episcopal church in which to wed Mr. Rollins, the son of Mrs. Gertrude Getchell Rolling.

Coming for the wedding at which the Rev. Elmer Nelson Owen will officiate are a number of relatives of the bridal couple including Mr. Edwin S. Van Gorder and son, Charles, and Mr. and Mrs.

Edwin S. Van Gorder, of of Audubon, Mrs. C. N. Gilmore Springfield, grandmother of the bride, and her uncle, Dwight Gilmore, also of Springfield.

Gilmore Rawson, brother of the bride, now returning from a European business trip, will also be present for the event. Mr. and Mrs. Hal Ray of Chicago are expected to attend. Names Bridesmaids.

Miss Rawson has chosen four well known young women to serve as bridesmaids at the wedding. Miss Frances Hubbell and Miss Anna Kauffman to be the only local attendants. Miss Hubbell, who has just been graduated from Smith college, will motor home next Friday and be accompanied by Miss Catherine Allis, a third bridesmaid. The latter will be a guest at Terrace Hill during her stay. The fourth bridesmaid will be Miss Elizabeth Tuttle, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. John Tuttle of New York. former Des Moines residents. Mr. Eugene S.

Wilson of New York. Pat Upsilon fraternity brother of Mr. Rolling, will be the best man. The ushers, Mr. Wilson and Mr.

Jack Snyder of Memphis, fiance of Miss Frances Hubbell, will be house guests of Mr. Rollins. who expects the men of the bridal party to arrive Thursday. Host at Bachelor Dinner. On Friday evening Mr.

Rolling will be host at a bachelor dinner at Hotel Fort Des Moines for the men of the bridal party and A number of local friends. Among the hosts and hostesses for Miss Rawson and Mr. Rolline will be Mr. and Mrs. Grover C.

Hubbell, Mr. and Mrs. B. Frank Kauffman, Mr. and Mrs.

John H. Getchell and Mr. and Mrs. Cummins Rawson, who will give dinner courtesies. The Hubbell dinner will be given on Saturday.
