Page Two Alpha Phi Alpha Initiates Four at Party Thursday Alpha Phi Alpha sorority held Its third annual founders' day banquet and formal initiation Thursday evening at Grace soma' tearoom. The four new members who were honored at that time were Myrtle Boulter, Zatha Helen Snow, Helen McGlothien and Hazel Walker. The toast program WAR in charge of Martha Shetterly and toasts were, made by Katherine Patterson, Bertha Clarke, Zatha Helen Snow, Eunice Meharry and Miss Nellie Bonfield, club mother. The committee in charge of the banquet consisted of Ruth Graham, chairman; Bertha Clarke Helen Braught. E. W. Nevelin of Ankeny as chairman, will be an address on "Community Recreation" by Madame D. PirieBeyea, state health lecturer. The musical program of the afternoon will include a group of songs by Mr.

Shrader, musical director of the Ankeny schools, and accordion solo by Joseph Zonotti of Ankeny and a vocal duet by the Misses Alice Bernice Kelley of Altoona. Miss Doris East of Altoona will give a reading during the afternoon. Arthur Alexanders Gives Bridge Party Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Alexander entertained at bridge Saturday evening at their home, 801 Guthrie avenue.

Those who were present are the Mesdames Marion Cordary Hush Wheaton Fred Alber M. Baughman John Calvert H. Alvin Ekroot. Dansant Club Will Have Dance Monday Mr. and Mrs.

The study will be "Robin Hood." The story of the opera will be given by Helen Nardie. The program will include a piano duet by Patricia Lynch and Corinne Kirschberger, pupils at St. Ambrose school. A girls' quartet from Joseph's academy, Misses Katheryn Amy Ruth McComas, Virginia Clark and Mary Elizabeth Jackson, accompanied by Mary Agnes Lux, will sing. Miss Vincent Mandia will contribute a vocal solo.
