16, 1920, in Norwood, Ia. Her family oved to Lacona when loise was very young. he attended eauty School (now Iowa chool of Beauty). During World War II, Eloise worked at the Des Moines Ordnance Plant. Later, she began her career as a business owner when she created Beauty Shop in Lacona.

Eloise was married to Robert Bauer. Together, the couple raised four children: Mike, Anthony, Viona and Bobbie. loise was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Flossie Baker; husband, Robert Bauer; daughter, Viona Schaeffer; son, Bobbie Bauer; brothers: Obyr, Deo a nd Wend ell; and sis- ers: Wanda, Eulala and oletta. She is survived by her two sons: Mike Baker of Lacona and Anthony Bauer (Marilyn) of Johnston; six grand- hildren; six great-grand- hildren; brother, Orlo aker of Lacona; and sis- er, Janice McCullough of elcher. ACelebration of Life Service was held on Saturday, Jan.

3, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lacona. Family received friends prior to the service, from 9 until 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Lacona Fire and Rescue and St.

She loved people, enjoyed their company, asking hem questions and was ever at a loss for words. he was an amazing mother, grandmother, great- randmother and friend. Lura Maxine Dryer, 94, of Indianola, passed away Jan.

1, 2015, at Kavanagh House. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 5, in the Heritage Room at The Village i Indianola where the amily greeted friends one our prior to services. ura was an avid bridge layer and a life master. She was a long-time member of PEO and Beta Sigma Phi sororities.

During her lifetime she lived in California, Nebraska, Illinois, Oklahoma and Florida. Generous with her time, she volunteered with various groups in communities in which she resided. Lura and J.D., her husband of 40 years, loved to ravel including extensive international trips. In 2009 she returned to her beloved Iowa setting up residence in The Village in Indianola where she actively attended and participated in all events; daily devotions, the food committee, exercise, playing games and book club just to name a few. Lura was born in Ottumwa, on Nov.

30, 1920, to William A. ones and ora B. Montgomery) Jones. Dryer, sister Madeline Luke, and two grandchildren Robert William Dryer and Heather Lynn Dryer pre- eded her in death. he will be deeply issed by her sons and heir wives Stephen J.

Lura Dryer, 94, Indianola Lura Dryer Funeral services for John S. Harrison, 98, formerly of Indianola, who passed away Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, were held at 7 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Visitation was held prior to services starting at 5:30 p.m.

Burial was at 1p.m., Monday, Jan. 5, in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery. John worked for the city of Indianola as superintendent of the Indianola Municipal Utilities retiring after 42 years in 1983. He and Colleen moved to Ralston, in 1997.

John is survived by his daughter, Vicki Fox; grandchildren, Lori Fox, John Fox and Bob Whitten- baugh; and great- granddaughter, Sohpia Fox. Harrison, 98, Ralston, formerly of Indianola John Harrison June A. Dales Pekrul, 89, Indianola passed away on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at the avanagh Hospice Home in Des Moines. She resided a Vintage Hills in Indianola. The family will hold a memorial service this coming summer in Ohio.

Dales Pekrul, 89, Indianola June Pekrul Robert Neil Schreiber of I ndianola passed away on onday, Dec. 22, 2014, at the Wesley Village in Indianola. A private memorial graveside service with military honors were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.

Neil was born on June 25, 1923, in Lucas County, to Oscar and ertrude Schreiber Sones). Neil served his ountry in the United States A rmy Air Corps beginning in 1943 through 1945. Following his military career Neil married Florence Iola Trunnell (the best thing in his life!) March 23, 1946. He farmed while working at John Deere until retiring from John Deere in 1979. Neil continued to farm and roudly built a wonderful ohn Deere tractor collect ion and enjoyed traveling and took many trips and hared family time with their two daughters.

Neil is survived by daughters Loretta Block (Mel Scham- pers) residing in Seymour, and Pam (Gene) Wadle residing in Lacona; sister Luella (Dave) DeHeck of I daho Falls, Idaho; grand- hildren Shawn (Suzanne) Wadle, Robert (Kathy) Wadle, Tim (Crystal) Frey, Andy (Michelle) Frey and Ted Block; great- grandchildren Zadie a nd Kale Wad le and Jocel yn Frey and a sister-in- law Bertha McNeer. Neil was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Iola; brother Bud; two brothers-in-law Nifty and Winford and two sisters-in- law Chloris and Joy. The family wants to thank the Wesley Village staff for heir excellent care and rofessionalism. In lieu of lowers memorials may be directed to family to ponsor a bench at Wesley Village.
