I anyone entioned taking a Jim always aid it would take him 15 inutes to be ready.

Un- orgettable trips included a cruise (and he hated wa- er), Switzerland and Haw aii. He rode the Cross ountry Trail Ride in Emin ence, Missouri for 24 ears and trail rode in entucky, Tennessee, outh Dakota, Wisconsin, ebraska, Illinois and he South Texas Trail Train. A fter moving back to I ndianola in 1984, Jim orked at Emco Indus- ries in Des Moines until etirement when he drove a delivery truck part time or Auto. eft to miss Jim are his ife, Marilyn; children, on (Phyllis) Bender, arb (Tim) Gerber, Diane toddard, David Bender, eresa Knapp and Andy ood; 10 grandchildren; ne great-grandchild; rother, Thomas (Deb) ender; and sister, Terri ender. He has orked for Bartholomew arms for the past 40 ears. Denny was the true A merican farmer and abs olutely loved his job, he as up before the break of awn every day ready to ake on the new day and et to work. I was a very rare mo- ment to not see Denny fix- i ng something. He was abs olutely amazing at what did and ould truly ix any- hing. He as always kind to al- ays help thers any hance he ould get.

A a child Denny was is shadow on the arm, and farming was his ove from day one. Denny id not really like choco- late and his mom always ad to make a cherry cake or his birthday. In high chool Denny loved play- i ng football and driving ars.

He enjoyed working and attending stock car aces. Among his class- ates Denny was nick- amed which eans big and strong. enny had big hands and ad one of the largest lass rings ever. ennis is survived by is wife, Lynn of Carlisle; ons, Bill of Carlisle and rad (Amy) of Carlisle; aughter, Michelle Craig Carlisle; mother, Bern ice Craig of Dike; sister, ean (Jim) Loger of Dike; randchildren, Ariel, adison, Ashlynn, Colton a nd Chase. ennis was preceded i death by his father, ohn; and a brother, Bob.

She continued her ducation at Dakota Wesl yn College in Mitchell, and on May 28, 1950, as united in marriage to oran Fred Sherwood. hey lived in Flint, aterloo and Cedar Falls efore moving to Des oines in 1961. She was ret ired from CDS in Des oines. Mary Lou moved Indianola in 1994 and she njoyed music and her ard club. urvivors include her hildren, Bob Athey of ucson, Stanley (Terr y) Sher- ood of India nola and ichard herwood of ucson, A six randchil- ren; nine reat-grand- hildren; six reat-great- randchil- ren; brother, Chuck Gwen) Schone of Port- and, Maine, and twin sis- er, Rose Marie Raymond Grand Forks, N.D.

Show hoir choreographers a re tough to find and hen you find choreog- aphers that work well ith the singers you let hem tell you when able to work with he groups. We have hree show choirs again his year. al Hagener will dir ect the varsity group, ide One.

I will direct the ixed junior varsity rep group, Flip Side, a nd the mixed prep show hoir, SideWayz. There a re close to 200 singers in ur high school show hoirs. There are four hances to see our show hoirs perform in India nola. Nov. 25 show hoirs and jazz bands erform their Fall Show- ase Concert, giving a review of the season.
