Dietrich, 89, Williamsburg, formerly of Ladora, was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at Trinity United Church of Christ, rural Marengo. He died uesday, May 19, 2015, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa ity. Leonard Kenneth Dietrich was born July 14, 1925, on the family farm in Lincoln Towns hip, Iowa County, the on of Edward August A lbert Dietrich and Mary Orpha Calvert Dietrich. He attended Iowa County schools and erved for a time in the Army Air Force. married Thelma Marie Punke Sept. 10, 1946, in rural Marengo. The couple took over the ask of running the family farm in Lincoln ownship, which thy orked for 60 years.

He became an award-winning sales associate with Archer Oil for several years. He had a great talent for creating tools and other items which filled awide variety of needs on the farm. In 2006, the couple retired from the farm and moved to Williamsburg. He was a life- ime member of Trinity United Church of Christ. he truest philosophy of Leonard and Thelma a nd their family can be found on a large wooden plaque made by a family friend: are no trangers here only friends we will be missed and was a blessing to all who knew him.

Dietrich will be deep- missed by his wife of 6 8 years, Thelma; three aughters, Lonnett (Frank) Dietrich Blakley, Riverside; Ica (Kenneth) Shaull, North Liberty, and Ellen (Kurt) tevenson, Tiffin; two randchildren, Nathan Katie) Shaull, Bertram, and Matthew (Kimberly) Shaull, Hiawatha; a great-grandchild, Keag an Shaull; one brother, onald Dietrich, Mareng and many additional family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two rothers, Richard and Gary, and one sister, argery Stockstell. Leonard Dietrich, 89 Celebration of life service for Velma L. Hubbell, 90, Mareng was eld at 1 Saturday, May 23, at owell Funeral Home, Williamsburg. She died Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo.

Velma Louise Hubbell was born Sept. 7, 1924, near What Cheer, the daughter of William and Hannah (Jones) Camp- bell.

She married Leonard William Hubbell Jan. 26, 1943, in Lancaster, Mo. She enjoyed gardening, canning and visiting with family and friends. ubbell is survived five children, Rose ouise Cheney, Coral- ille; Gloria Hahn, Oskaloosa; Melinda (Robert) Kochuyt, Marengo; Terry Hubbell, Hiawatha, and Jeff Hubbell, Victor; one daughter-in-law, Phyllis Hubbell, Parnell; 26 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grand- hildren. he was preceded in eath by her husband, Leonard; her parents; ne son, Albert; two sons-in-law, Larry Cheney and Earl Hahn; two brothers, Robert and Lewis, and one sister, Doris Grover.

Velma Hubbell, 90 Celebration of life service for Raymond C. Stockstell, 94, Washington, was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, at the Peterseim Funeral Home, Kalona. He died Saturday, ay 16, 2015, at McCree- Home, Washington. haplain Robert Spil- er officiated at the service.

The body was cremated following the ser- ice and burial will be at a later date. Ageneral memorial fund has been established. Raymond Cecil Stockstell was born May 26, 1 920, in Houston, the on of Charles Stockstell a nd Lillian Ward. He mar- ied Marjorie Dietrich in Keswick on Nov. 23, 1940.

He served in the Unit- States Navy during World War II. He worked as a forklift operator at Crane Company for 15 years. He was a member of the Lutheran Church and enjoyed camping, ishing and spending time ith his family. He played he guitar and played with he Iowa Plowboys band. Stockstell is survived by one daughter, Kathy Stockstell, Washington; everal grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Stockstell, Marshalltown, and one sister, Emmajean Young, Chicago, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie, in 2012; his parents; wo sons, Ron and Tim tockstell; two daughters, etty Ann Stockstell and ary Reschly, and two grandchildren, Shawndell and Amanda Stockstell. Raymond Stockstell, 94 Derailment in BP Cleanup took place over the weekend after a train derailment on the east edge of Belle Plaine on Friday evening. Published accounts state the Union Pacific Railroad train was traveling from North Platte, NE, to Chicago, ith 125 rail cars. Workers worked through Saturday to get the line open. Work is also being done to replace some of the rail.
